12th District Court, MI

Recently, I had the privilege of speaking with Geremy Burns, the Court Administrator for the 12th District Court in Jackson, Michigan. Following the implementation of ODR.com’s Traffic solution, I was eager to hear how our platform has impacted their operations and affected their daily work at the court.

Geremy’s account was both illuminating and reinforcing. He described the period before ODR.com—characterized by a different vendor’s service decline—as a regression into a labor-intensive “morass” of manual work. Clerks were forced into the “darker days” of administrative triage: printing driving records, physically transporting case files, and tracking deadlines via manual PDF forms and calendaring. This manual drudgery not only hindered efficiency but profoundly impacted the court’s ability to effectively serve the community and deliver justice asynchronously.

This is precisely why we exist. We do not simply sell software; we provide systemic relief for institutions burdened by conflict. Geremy’s story is proof that our platform, built by the pioneers who designed systems for global giants like eBay and PayPal, delivers that relief.

Today, Geremy describes the ODR.com Traffic solution as being “woven into the fiber of every day,” operating with the quiet, “set it and forget it” reliability of a trusted utility. This administrative stability has led to fewer physical visits and a subjective decrease in call volume, allowing the public to resolve disputes intuitively. By moving high-volume triage online, we preserve the “Human Touch” where it is needed most, freeing court staff to do the empathetic work of delivering justice.
